“Memorysound” Dołowy / Stolze – performance

How do we define space and what are the stories these spaces tell?

Performance maker Patrycja Dołowy and musician Alex Stolze collaborate on an evening of music and performance, conjuring a space for listening to untold stories and unhearable voices. Stolze presents a haunting, post-classical violin performance bookending a dynamic and interactive „Memory” game constructed by Dołowy, inspired by a 1926 memory book from Eastern Poland and Dołowy’s recent discovery of family in America.

Patrycja Dołowy is a Polish artist, writer, and science journalist. German composer Alex Stolze bridges the traditionally entrenched sound of the violin and contemporary amorphous electronic music.
