The Luckiest Jew of poland

The Lucky Jewathon just finished but we are all so lucky to join Michael Rubenfeld and his pefromance of a one-man-show entitled: The Luckiest Jew of Poland!
This is going to be the transition from the broad overview of the topic, to a personal story. From a Hyde park of opinions and reflections to a deep focus on one’s experience. Michael Rubenfeld, a Polish-Jewish-Canadian artist, will make present a draft of his monodrama about his experience of being Canadian, Polish and Jewish at the same time (what a stroke of luck!). The show will be broadcast live, and afterwards, the recording will be edited and made available on the Internet.
Rubenfeld is an actor, director, screenwriter and theatre creator, nominated many times for the Dora Mavor Moore Award, one of the most prestigious theatre awards in Canada. He is the founder of the Absit Omen Theater with Hanna Moscovitch, which received 10 Dora Award nominations. In 2008-2016, he was the artistic director of the SummerWorks Festival, one of the largest theatre festivals in Canada, where he produced over 300 performances. He also initiated the “Progress” International Festival of Theater and Ideas in Toronto. He is also a co-founder of the Selfconscious theatre & organization, which has been successfully implementing CanadaHub, a space for presenting the best Canadian performances, during the largest international Fringe Festival in Edinburgh since 2017. In the same year, he became co-director of FestivALT. From
four years, he lives in Krakow.
